Trails SE of Wakefield

Details

This is a mainly level ride to the south-east of Wakefield, taking in Wintersett and the Hemsworth/Upton area, following abandoned railway lines, bridleways and other interesting trails. These give an enjoyable flowing ride without too much vegetation, though there may be a few nettles and brambles here and there.

There is no café stop, but there will be an optional loo stop at Hemsworth Water Park about two-thirds of the way round.

Food: There is no café stop during the ride, so you will need something to eat as well as drink. We will be passing a couple of convenience stores along the way, and snack food is available from Asda at the start.

Time: 09:45 for 10:00 departure.

Meet: By the recycling bins at Asda superstore, Asdale Road, Wakefield, WF2 7EQ.

What3Words location: https://what3words.com/outer.peach.proved
