Relaxed canal ride from Bingley to Skipton and back!

Ride Description: We start this ride through the lovely Hirst Woods before picking up the canal towpath. We do have a small climb early on up the famous five rise locks, the the ride will become a relaxed and pleasant jaunt from Bingley to Skipton along the beautiful Leeds to Liverpool canal. We will stop in Skipton for refreshments but as always I’d recommend you to carry drinks and energy bars just in case.

Distance: 27 miles approx

Ride Duration: 4 1/2 hours inc break (estimated)

Technical difficulty: BLUE (Moderate) - just a 3 mile stretch of track which is a little bit rocky in places, but otherwise flat and easy.

Physical difficulty: BLUE (Moderate) - but due to the mileage some physical fitness is required.

Suitable for: Mountain bikes, Hybrids & Gravel bikes with treaded tyres.

Recommendations: Spare tubes, tools and pump.

Safety: No Helmet = No Ride!
