Coxley, Emley, High Hoyland & Bretton Park
Details
NB: There is a Sunday event! A £1.00 attendance fee is payable at the start. This goes towards the group's administration fees so please come prepared - thanks.
This is a very pleasant rural ride with quite a lot of climbing, but rewarded by some really cracking long non-technical descents that you will love. We will have a café lunch stop about half way round.
About 70% of the route is off tarmac, comprising river & canal paths, woodland trails, farm tracks and fast bridleways. We will pass through Coxley Valley, Emley village and High Hoyland, (the clue is in the name), so you'll definitely need your climbing legs!
Post ride refreshment is available at the nearby Star Inn.
Lunch: We will call in at the Lucky Pup dog-friendly café at Cannon Hall Farm.
Meet: 09:45 for 10:00 departure, close to the recycle bins at Asda superstore, Asdale Road, Wakefield, WF2 7EQ. Don't worry - you won't get clamped!
