This is a very scenic ride with lovely views over the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District countryside. We start at Middleton Top visitor centre, and drop down to Carsington Water via a short section of the High Peak Trail and some quiet lanes. We then loop round about two-thirds of the shoreline as far as the visitor centre. From there we take to quiet lanes to Tissington, where we pick up the Tissington Trail north to Parsley Hay for lunch.

After lunch we head south-east on the High Peak Trail all the way back to Middleton Top.

NB: This ride is subject to a reasonably favourable weather forecast, as many sections are quite exposed.

Lunch: There is a takeaway at Parsley Hay visitor centre serving hot and cold food & drinks, with outside seating - or you can bring your own snap if you prefer.

Meet at: Middleton Top visitor centre, approx. postcode DE4 4LS but it's better to enter "Middleton Top" in Google Maps etc., or use the W3W link below. There are toilets and cycle hire facilities here.
