Leeds Japanese Language Study Group 2026

Hello. We are having a BBQ party for the group!!!

CAUTION: It will be in my garden, NOT at Parkside Tavern. I entered a FAKE PLACE here because I don't want to announce my address to the whole world! If you plan to join but don't know where it will be, please contact me individually.

Everyone who has attended our regular meeting is welcome. If there is a room we may be able to accommodate first timers. Can you bring your family and friends? Not in general, our garden is not that big, but there can be exceptions (e.g., trouble finding a babysitter). Just let me know.

We are starting around 3:00 pm, slowly at first with drinks and snacks. Meal will be later probably at 5 or 6 pm. Guests can stay as long as they want, although we don't have beds for everyone I'm afraid😉

We will provide food and drinks so I'll ask you to contribute £10 each. I'll send a bank details individually. We will have meat, maybe seafood, vegetables, salad, potatoes, rice etc for food. Beer, wine, and hot and cold soft drinks. If someone brings dessert that will be appreciated.

You can bring your own food or drink for £3 discount (both for £6). We will have vegetable BBQ but if you need/want to bring meat substitute or other food items for special dietary requirements, please do so. That also counts for £3 discount.

You can get to our place directly from the city centre by bus (38/39), but you're welcome to drive here as well. We have visitor parking permits.

Please don't forget to REGISTER the event ideally by Wednesday so I have an idea how much food and drinks we need to prepare.
