Meet, Munch & Move Around

Details

  1. Flexible Arrival (First 30 minutes)

Arrive at your own pace—no pressure to talk or join in right away. You can grab a drink, settle in quietly, or just observe. There’ll be clear signs and volunteers on hand if you’d like a gentle hello or help finding a seat.

  1. Zones to Choose From

We’ll have clearly marked spaces so you can choose what suits your energy and mood:
• Quiet Zone: A calm area with soft lighting, fidgets, colouring materials, and noise-reducing headphones available.
• Low-Key Social Zone: Tables for chatting, board games, or light conversation. No structured icebreakers, just natural mingling.
• Solo-but-Visible Zone: A space where you can be around others without needing to interact—read, doodle, or people-watch.

  1. Intro Table (Optional)

If you’d like, you can fill out a “Hello card” to share your name, pronouns, and something like:
• “I’m happy to chat!”
• “I’m a little shy but happy to be here.”
• “I prefer to observe today.”

No pressure to wear it—just a way to help make interactions easier.

  1. Suggestion Station

A corner with sticky notes and a board where you can leave anonymous ideas or preferences for future events (e.g., picnic? film night? structured games? chill café meetups?).

  1. Gentle Wrap-Up

We’ll finish by gently letting people know we’re winding down. You can leave early, stay a bit longer, or just head off quietly—whatever works best for you.
