Leeds Queer Sports Collective

The Angels of Freedom and the Leeds United Foundation have joined forces to bring you free weekly football fitness classes! And thanks to additional funding from Sported we’ve been able to increase sessions to TWO HOURS, whilst continuing to be offered FREE of cost to attendees.

Here's what you need to know:

• Everyone is invited to join, regardless of skill level or experience. If you're over 18 and new to the game, fret not, as you're more than welcome to come along.

• Led by LUFC enabled coaches, these sessions are all about teamwork, getting fit, and having fun. There's no competition, just a bunch of friendly folks working up a sweat on the pitch.

• No need to book in advance, just rock up on the day. But do make sure to wear comfy clothes that suit the weather, plus either trainers or football boots.

And, of course, don't forget your water bottle to keep you hydrated throughout the session.

Saturday football is a social, friendly space for getting into football. We meet every Saturday for football. The session involves a warm-up and 30 mins of practicing football skills and then 30 minutes of a football match (5 or 7-aside).

We are open to all women, trans, non-binary and gender questioning people. We are open to all footballing abilities, and especially welcome those who are new or returning the sport. The space is designed to encourage anyone who wishes to give it a go!

Payments on a sliding scale:

• Free or £1/2 for those who are finding it hard to meet everyday costs
• £3-4 for those who can meet every day costs but find it can be stressful to do so
• £5-6 for those who are employed and can meet daily costs comfortably
• £7-8 for those who have a comfortable amount of disposable income

Pro wrestling classes for the LGBTQIA+ community!

If you've ever wanted to dress up in a fancy costume, develop an over-the-top character and slam people then now is your chance!

Our classes are 100% beginner-friendly and suitable for all bodies and abilities. We are aiming to provide a fun, community-focused environment for queer people in and around Leeds, so there's no toxic masculinity, competition or pushing people to do more than they're comfortable with. Learn a new skill, meet some cool queers and enjoy yourself!

All you need to bring is water. Please wear suitable athletic clothes, and avoid anything that could catch on someone else's skin such as zips, buckles, extensive jewellery etc.
