Looking to try an offbeat but fun and friendly sport?
We need you! I see you there, wanting to try something other than football, rugby or netball.
I'm Matt, Captain of the Bobcats, a softball team based in north Leeds, and member of Leeds Softball. Softball, say what? Yes, it's a bit like baseball or the r-word: rounders. Hit ball, run the bases or catch ball, get outs.
The important thing is, softball is a really fun and social sport. It doesn't require constant exertion, and if I can pick up the rules, anyone can.
We're looking for folks to join our teams in the Leeds Softball Association league this summer. And yes there is a space on Bobcats for those interested. No experience is necessary, and before you say it, we WILL teach you to catch. And hit. And do all those fun softball things.
Our team comprises around 6 men and 6 women, making a truly inclusive sport that focuses on teamwork rather than "athletes." Teams will be looking for people of all sexes to play on Wednesdays with practice on Tuesdays. And not only that we attend social events throughout the year, including weekend tournaments (road trip!) to weekly pub quizzes. I want you to be part of that.
We practice every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm and play Wednesdays from 6:30pm at:
Adel War Memorial Association
Church Ln, Adel, Leeds

All new players welcome, no experience necessary!
