Dungeons & Dragons Battle Royale

Details

Join us for some Dungeons & Dragons, a day of socialising and lots of fun. A great event for you if you want to compete and play some D&D or if you'd just like to come along, spectate and see some epic battles of D&D and learn how it works.

We invite you to our first-ever D&D Battle Royale Tournament. Bring your favourite character, get matched into a battle party, and the last one standing wins!

It's FREE to join, so come along and enjoy finally being allowed to kill the annoying rogue who is never where you left them!
We do recommend that if you're wanting to compete in the battle itself you have played D&D before as first-timers may struggle with mechanics and the pace of the event (but first-timers feel free to come along & watch and learn how Dungeons & Dragons works!)

This event is run by the Luncheons & Flagons Kickstarter launching on the 22nd of May, to open a place where you can eat good food, play TTRPGs and drink with your fellow party members. A prize for the winner will be provided by Luncheons & Flagons.

The Rules & Requirements of the Event [IMPORTANT]:
All who want to compete in the battle royale will need to submit their character prior to the event to ensure fair play. You can create and submit your character here https://ddb.ac/campaigns/join/39932803985250714

Character Requirements:

  1. Level 9 character.
  2. Attributes must be standard array or point buy as described in the player's handbook.
  3. Races, classes, feats, spells etc. must come from The Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. This is to balance providing options and keeping it fair for those who don't own every 5e book ever published. You can re-flavour things, but the mechanics must be identical.
  4. Multiclassing is allowed, and the attribute requirements are in effect.
  5. Standard starting items for your starting class/background only.
  6. If you are using a character from a campaign, please recreate the sheet to ensure any bonuses given in previous sessions are removed.
  7. Polymorph, wildshape etc. can only use statblocks from the monster manual

Submitting Your Character:
Your character needs to be submitted prior to the event and to confirm your place in the Battle Royale. It must be submitted by the 4th May at the latest, if not done by then you may no longer be able to compete and your spot may be given to the next person on the waiting list.
SUBMIT YOUR CHARACTER

Royale Rules:

  1. We'll be looking to interpret the rules as they are written. If you break the rules to kill someone else's character, it's not the rule of cool for everyone at the table.
  2. Teams will be random.
  3. Whether you can rest between rounds will vary from round to round.
  4. There will be an honor system in the background, so keep that in mind.
  5. Polymorph, wildshape etc. can only use stat blocks from the monster manual.

How the day will go:
We will send out a full structure for the day once we have numbers confirmed, so you will have an idea of how many battles etc you will be partaking in.

Food & Drink
The event is held at the Editor's Draught in Leeds, you can find a link to the location here.
Should you want to eat anything the pub has requested that you pre-order to help deal with the numbers. If you don't pre-order they cannot guarantee food service. If you are looking to pre-order please let me know or directly order your food by email: denise.wilson-lindsay@stonegategroup.co.uk
