Talks:
Andrew Macpherson - Drupal APIs for Javascript Developers
"Drupal 8 is now an attractive framework for use as a decoupled (a.k.a. headless) content management system. This talk will provide an introduction to Drupal's web service features, for Javascript developers who need to communicate with a Drupal system.
We'll take a look at:
• Scenarios where you'll want a powerful content management system (versus writing a lightweight REST service, or syncing a local PouchDB).
• Drupal's Entity model: fields, references, and validation.
• How Drupal data can be provided as generic HAL-JSON, JSONAPI, and GraphQL
• Some Drupal-specific Javascript SDK-type libraries.
• Road map of Drupal's API-first initiative."
Jusef Belkasemi - Making "Progress" with Progressive Web Apps and Ionic 3
"In this talk I will aim at giving an introduction into the world of Progressive Web Apps (PWAs). I will cover what PWAs are, why should we care about them and why I have been excited about this approach to building web apps. I will then use the awesome Ionic 3 framework to show an example of how to build a progressive web app."
