About us
In this group, we get together to celebrate what we love about real life and to be with others who feel the same. There’s so much pressure to accept and use AI. We’re here to support each other in our resistance.
We’re not resisting change for the sake of it. AI is the first technology that can make its own decisions. It was released unethically and without guardrails. AI is not inevitable. So we’ll gather at events to remember our connection to community and the planet.
Rules
You don’t use GenAI optionally.
Some automation is ok but creation belongs to humans.
If you say things like “I mean, I use AI every day but …” or “I think it has value but not for [my job],” this probably isn’t the group for you.
We’re not here to debate. You won’t convince me and I won’t convince you. The purpose of this group is to hold tight to the things AI is actively destroying.
We don’t have any direct action planned against AI. We just want to enjoy what we can together.

Let's go to the aquarium! 🦦
Oceanário de Lisboa, Esplanada Dom Carlos I s/nº, 1990-005 Lisboa, Portugal, Lisboa, PTWhen I went to the aquarium a couple years ago, I was so mesmerized by nature. It was the height of the AI craze and I thought, “AI could never.” I think the idea for this group was born that day.
So let’s go admire the amazing animals who live in the sea!

We'll meet in front of the ticket office at 15h.The Oceanário de Lisboa might be the most expensive event we organize, but the money goes to a good cause. They do an incredible amount of advocacy and preservation efforts, which I gladly support.
