LCC Park Day: Board Games at Regent's Park
Details
Join us on Sunday at 3pm for a selection of board games and card games, with a picnic. The host will bring a few board games of their own but attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own games to share with the group.
There will likely be a few traditional board games and other games which place a special emphasis on cooperation, collaboration and education.
The host will being some snacks and drinks but again, bringing your own food and drinks is strongly encouraged.
Who we are:
The Left Culture Club hosts social events, skill-sharing workshops, cultural activities, film screenings, reading groups and games nights for London's progressives, dissidents and radicals.
Given the nature of our group, informal (and sometimes formal) discussion of politics- primarily from the left, forms a routine part of our events. However, everyone is welcome, whatever your politics or level of political commitment.
Who is it for?
- Anyone who enjoys board games and/or a park day out. You don't need to have prior knowledge of the games.
- We kindly request you to read the above section on who we are as a group.
Where?
Regent's Park, next to the boat lake. We will try to sit near the Waterside Café to make it easier to spot us. The closest entrance would be the main entrance you take when walking from the Baker Street tube station (then walk leftward towards the café)
We will drop a location pin the comments below to help you find us on the day.
We're committed to making every one of our events welcoming and safe for everybody. Our spaces are non-partisan, but not apolitical. Racism, sexism, antisemitism, classism, forms of discrimination based on sexual preference or gender identity: all these are obviously way out of line. If you are a victim of bigotry or harrasment at any of our events, please raise this with an organiser who will act appropriately. We broadly follow this code of conduct: https://wiki.dbzer0.com/the-anarchist-code-of-conduct/
