Welcome to the Leftist-Progressive Book Club at Night! For our next meeting, we'll be discussing the book
Democracy at Work: A Cure for Capitalism by Richard Wolff
We'll be exploring the following themes, among others:
- Endemic cycles
- Uneven development
- Trickle-down economics
- Regulatory capture
- End of rising wages
- Increased debt
- Political corruption
- Economic inequality
- Workplace democracy
- Collective governance
This is a meeting for anyone interested in this book by Richard Wolff. Read and discuss, or if you haven't read it yet, come hang out with like-minded people and get the cliff-notes! This bookstore has amazing Turkish desserts, coffee/tea/espresso, sandwiches, and other dishes available for purchase. Come hungry for good food and great conversation!
How to find us: We will have a table in the back, behind the cafe counter. You can tell the cashier at the register you are here for the meetup group, and they will point you in the right direction.
