What we’re about
The world always had dangers, but now there are signs of collapse in various ways. Climate disruption, civil unrest, food insecurity... And for years the ones getting ready for catastrophe were the far right wing. Not anymore.
Everyone wants a better world for the children. We all want to survive. Now the left is creating a conversation around this, but with a very different approach. We are not about arming ourselves and blowing the bridge--we are about mutual aid and changing systems to be resilient and fair.
This group will meet for coffee every other Saturday at the Public Market for an hour or so to share ideas, information, and lore.
We want safer infrastructure. We want food sovereignty. We want a level playing field.
All of these things have become harder to achieve after the 2024 election. There are many working on the political side of the resistance. But we need to do the community building side as well. Survival IS resistance.
So let's talk about the way forward to not just survive but thrive until democracy is restored in this country.
