Future Regulation of Legal Services in Scotland - Roberton Review

Details

"Innovation should not be stifled by the outmoded or unnecessary limitations of a regulatory structure." - Fit for the Future – Report of the Independent Review of Legal Services Regulation in Scotland (2018) (Roberton Review).

Ensuring legal services are properly regulated is vital to maintaining the rule of law and the effective and efficient administration of justice. The current regulatory framework in Scotland is somewhat outdated and in need of reform. A modern, proportionate, flexible, progressive and effective framework is required.

Our upcoming event focuses on the Roberton Review. We have a very distinguished panel of speakers - including Esther Roberton, who chaired the Review - who will be sharing their perspectives on the Report recommendations and answering your questions.

This event will be of particular interest to consumers; "traditional" legal services providers; and alternative legal services providers, who are increasingly harnessing new technologies to lower the barrier to accessing justice.

**To attend this free event you must sign up via Eventbrite - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/55489582836.
