The **[Philadelphia Social Justice Hackathon](https://tinyurl.com/SJHPHLHackathon)** will be held at [Drexel University's Thomas Kline School of Law](https://drexel.edu/law/admissions/tours-info-sessions-events/Directions/) from April 05 - 07, 2024.

Students, technologists, and other “civic-minded solution hackers” will come together with justice advocates, public servants, community legal service providers, and members of the #Philly community to work on solutions to respond to specific justice needs of residents and neighborhoods most impacted by social, economic, and environmental injustices in Philadelphia.

The event is **free to attend and open to all** participants, regardless of coding experience or affiliation with an organization or university.

**Agenda**
Day 1

* Opening Reception & Refreshments
* Keynote
* Hackathon Project Challenges by inspiring community organization speakers and Participants' Pitches - participants may work on their own ideas, or solve [challenges provided by our community partners](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1L9kGMnNraXf0NehSNuEWtc40hoFroggqCxX8U_kxz-0). * Team formation and registration

Day 2 - Design, Development and Problem-Solving

* Design Thinking and tech platforms for participants
* Solution design and development
* Access to experienced mentors and subject matter experts
* Refreshments provided throughout the event.

Day 3 - Demo Day!

* Submissions and Demo preparations
* Final presentations before an esteemed panel of community judges.
* Awards - winning teams receive small awards and where possible, connects to organizational support and key partners to further develop, validate and implement solutions.
