Buffalo Creek Spring Loop - 16 Miles
Details
Who's down for a nice long (and likely snow-free) hike in Buffalo Creek Saturday? There's quite the network of trails looping through that area, sometimes in the trees, sometimes through meadows or burn zones. So there will be plenty of views of the interesting rock formations as well as some snowy peaks off in the distance. The loop we'll be doing is about 16 miles, but only 2,000 feet of gain. A perfect walk and talk for March!
We'll meet at the Twin Forks PnR off 285, and we can carpool to the Buffalo Creek Trailhead. Or you can just meet at the TH if you like. The Sandy Wash trail takes us up to Raspberry Ridge for our best vantage point. Then Charly's and Baldy take us back to Sandy for a long cool-down walk back to the cars. It'll be fun.
