Boreas Mountain rises to 13,083 ft at the south end of Breckenridge. The mountain itself is above tree line, but there are plenty of aspens on the road near the bottom. We'll start down at the Gold Dust Trail by Como to get a longer approach.

Meet at Twin Forks Park and Ride on 285 and we can carpool to the Gold Dust TH. The trail is a gentle 4.5 mile climb through pine forests and pops out right at Boreas Pass road / summit. Then it's the standard steep 1.5 mile scramble up the western slopes to the summit ridge, and then an easier ridge walk to the top.

The out-and-back totals 12.1 miles and 2,825 ft of gain
