Sunday 7th December: 17.5 miles from Drayton

Ian will be leading the December Legstretcher.

The walk is on Sunday 7th December at 9.30am & it's 17.5 miles.

Ian says it is a lovely walk taking in picturesque woodlands & open countryside. The walk will be mainly on tracks (including sections of the Marriotts Way) & footpaths; some of which may be wet & muddy.

Additional street parking on School Road & Pond Lane. There is also parking (£5 pay by phone) in the Red Lion car park.

Please arrive with plenty of time as the Legstretchers always start promptly on time.

The walk is limited to 25 but please put your name down on the waiting list if it fills.

A MESSAGE FROM GROUP CO-ORDINATORS

Welcome to a Legstretcher walk. We're a friendly & welcoming group. We're keen to recruit anyone who wants to walk longer distances.
The group isn't intended to be overly serious & although our walk leaders are very experienced & highly competent, we want to remain a fun group. We're also keen on inclusion.
Bear in mind that we offer longer walks. You must make sure you bring enough to eat & drink (hydration is important).
Remember 18 miles isn't easy for someone new to walking so make sure you're comfortable walking 17 miles at a good pace (3.5mph ie 7 miles in 2 hours).
You'll need to join Ramblers after you've come on 3 Ramblers' walks.
