A short, relaxing evening bird walk along the Lehigh River and D & L canal towpath. A good place for water-associated birds such as ducks, Great Blue Herons, Warbling Vireos, and the occasional Bald Eagle or Osprey, along with other breeding birds such as Baltimore Oriole. We will be out about 1 hour - 1.5 hr and walk about 1 - 1.5 miles. The trail is level but may be narrow and uneven in places. Feel free to bring a snack and water.

Leaders: Barbara Malt and Breighanna Gonzalez

If you cannot make it by 5:30 but can come not too much later, it should be ok. We will probably bird around the parking lot for 5-10 minutes. We will then head east on the road along the river (towards the basketball and tennis courts). We will not be on the D & L trail at this point; we will cross over to the D & L trail where the Sand Island Trail ends some distance after the tennis courts.
