Welcome to the Lehigh Valley Cycling Club's Meetup Calendar. Here we list our cycling events, and some non-cycling fun as well. Our recreational, social rides are available at various paces and will take you mostly around the counties of Lehigh and Berks. We are blessed to experience the beauty that makes up this part of Pennsylvania.
While we are happy to see so many take an interest in our Ride Calendar, following here does not grant LVCC membership. We would be thrilled to have you all become dues paying LVCC members! Here are some of the benefits:
* We offer a full schedule of road and off-road rides for all levels.
* Insurance coverage for uncovered expenses if involved in a LVCC ride incident
* Grill 'n' Chill rides during the riding season and Annual Picnic
* Annual Holiday Party
* Overnight/weekend cycling trips
* Last but not least, LVCC is host to the now-famous Donut Derby!

Friday 30 Mile Ride
Carl's House, 8371 Carpet Rd, New Tripoli, PA, USWeather looks good for riding Friday. I probably won't ride the at the picnic so I want to get one in on Friday. This route is 31 miles with 1800 ft of climbing. Rest stop at Wanamakers. This will be a relaxed pace - B minus pace of 14 mph. Here's the route: Friday 30 Mile Ride

Check back at 8:30 before you leave for the ride in case of any changes.
Everyone must wear a helmet and individually sign the LVCC Waiver Release, which I will have with me, to ride with us. Joining Meetup and responding to this event is not a substitute for signing the waiver and if you ride more than 1 time on LVCC rides, you should formally join the club before riding again.

LVCC 38 Mile Picnic Ride
Upper Saucon Township Park , 3231 Preston Lane, Center Valley, PA, USI will lead a LVCC 38 Mile Picnic Ride per this route: Picnic 38 Mile · Ride with GPS
I expect to ride this 38 mi, 2180 ft. elevation moderately hilly route around 15-16 MPH. Make sure this is a good distance/elevation and pace for you per the LVCC Ride Classifications.pdf (lvcycling.club)
You are welcome to ride at different pace or post a companion ride and depending on attendance, several groups are likely to develop at varying speeds.
We will not stop for a break so we can be back in time for the picnic but bring food and fuel for on road consumption.

Picnic 21 Mile Ride
Upper Saucon Township Park , 3231 Preston Lane, Center Valley, PA, USI'll lead the 21 Mile route for the club picnic event. My pace will be around 13 mph overall average. This will get us back for the noon picnic. You are welcome to ride at whatever pace you enjoy but please have the route on a GPS device if you go off the front.
