CONFIRMED DATES: May 3 - May 5
Please join your LVCC riding buddies for the annual Eastern Shore Weekend May 3-5 , 2024. As usual we have rides planned for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
This year our host hotel will be the Holiday Inn Express Easton, 8561 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD. The room rate is $199 per room plus a 10% tax. PLEASE NOTE: They have a TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY requirement on spring weekends so plan accordingly.
As before you will book your own rooms. I have a block of 15 rooms with two queen beds under the group name Lehigh Valley Cycling Club. The phone number is (410)-819-6500. Be sure to say you are part of the club block to get the room rate.
You can also book on line with the link below. Go to the link, enter the dates and click Search. The LVCC preferred rate will come up to book the room.

The rate is available till April 24. After that rooms may not be available so book early. (The standard, refundable room rate is $264 + tax)
This is a change from prior years. The Holiday Inn is the hotel right next to where we have stayed in the past so all the routes will remain the same.
If you will be cycling You MUST BE A LVCC MEMBER (insurance purposes).
Non riding guests are welcome to attend. There is a lot to see and do in the area.
Here are the route maps for the weekend rides:
The Saturday ride takes us to Hooper's Island. Like last year, the Hooper's Island Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting a rest top for us. They did a great job last year and are looking forward to seeing us again.
For those not riding, there is a lot to see in the area.
Here are links to some of the area's attractions.
St Michaels (http://www.stmichaelsmd.org/), home of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (http://cbmm.org/)and numerous good pubs.

The Oxford-Belleview Ferry (http://tourtalbot.org/businesses/oxford-bellevue-ferry/) will be open.

While not exactly close to Easton, I'm including this as a potential side trip either on the way down or back from Easton. The museum is free and tours are available. I'm adding this because I visited and found it very interesting.
Lets make this weekend a blast.
