Online Game Night and Discussion (Humility)

Join like-minded secular humanists for an online sharing of friendly, thoughtful conversation and interactive gaming over zoom video.

We request everyone participating share video to encourage a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.

We open up our conversation with friendly banter about our lives, like movies we've watched and whatever is going on in the world.

Then we will have an informal discussion related to the Secular Humanist 10 Commitments...see below for more info on the topic of the month.

After the discussion our usual game line up will include Jackbox Party Games: Murder Trivia, Quiplash and other party games (for this you will need a second device : a smartphone or tablet with an internet browser in addition to the device you use to run Zoom)

### Humility

“I will be aware of my strengths and weaknesses, and appreciate the strengths and weaknesses of others.”

Humility means displaying modesty about accomplishments, talents, gifts, or importance of self. It acknowledges we humans are fallible and have limitations in what we know and can do. Being humble isn’t about having low self-esteem or denigrating oneself. Humility at its core is robust self-awareness—awareness of our strengths and weaknesses, our faults and our merits. Humility involves setting aside personal pride and overcoming our egos to embrace gratitude for what we have and appreciate others for who they are. In being humble, we recognize our own value in relation to others; inherently, we are neither better nor worse than anyone else.
