West Coast Swing & Lindy Hop Crossover in the Valley! We invite you to a day of classes and social dancing celebrating both the similarities and differences that Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing the amazing dances we know and love.
This will all take place in a new venue, Jiva Fitness 2.0 in Palmer, Pa.
Cost:
$15 per Class
$20 for Dance Social or
$40 for whole event (2 classes & social dance).
Hosted by Lehigh Valley Lindy and 309 Westies in Colmar, the classes will cater to common skills needed for both styles of dances:
Class 1 (1:00pm-2:00pm): Triple Step Explosion. Triple Steps are a foundational part of both dances, in this workshop we will explore this rhythm both in solo and in partnered.
Class 2 (2:00pm- 3:00pm): Dips, No Chips. A common punctuation in dance, this workshop will focus on the techniques needed to safely dip, be dipped, and negate a dip on the dance floor.
Social Dance (3:30pm-6:00pm): We will be mixing and playing music to cater to both Lindy Hoppers and Westies.
