An afternoon of friendly fun, language & culture exchange

A friendly meeting for people who are interested in learning more about each others' cultures & practising the languages we speak. That's British, European & East Asian Cultures.

Please tell your Cantonese/Filipino/German/Indonesian/Japanese/Korean/Malay/Mandarin/Taiwanese/Thai/Vietnamese speaking friends about our group - it would be nice to have a bit more of a culture & language mix at our fun meetings.

Make friends, chat about your favourite topics & never get bored - we usually bring some small board games, such as Chinese chess (Xiàngqí 象棋) & Mahjong (麻 将/麻將). It would be cool if anyone else has any interesting (language?) games ... in the past we also played an Australian game called "Sort it Out! The Game of Putting Things in Order (http://www.ugames.com/ugitem.asp?itemno=01026&brand=UG)", great for learning new English words as well as expanding your general knowledge.

Please do tell us what kind of events you would like us to organise, e.g. things like more focus on sightseeing in the Midlands, language exchanges (Cantonese, English, German, Japanese, Korean or Mandarin), general socialising & playing games, looking at small business aspects in China, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan or the UK - or anything else you're keen to learn about or discuss & experience.
