LeicesterJS - April Meetup - GraphQL and Serverless!

April Fools! Not! Of course LeicesterJS is back again, for another great JavaScript-based meetup.

Hot off the presses of buzzword bingo come this months talks! The first is an Overview of GraphQL by resident LeicesterJS regular Girish Patel.
Here is a brief synopsis of what you can expect from the talk.

"Since it became open source in 2015, GraphQL has been enjoying a growing activity. It is used by teams of all sizes in many different environments and languages to power mobile apps, websites, and APIs. Famous companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Pinterest, and Coursera rely on GraphQL for their platforms.

This talk is an introduction to GraphQL and the advantages it has over REST API calls."

The second talk is by Josh Ghent (that's me). I'll be speaking with you about Supercharged Serverless - covering the world of serverless, why you should be using it and how to make it fast, super fast. Including specific advice on how to conquer the dreaded cold start.

Hopefully you'll see these technologies are more than just buzzwords and hold incredible business value!
