Each month a Phoenix staff member picks a film. For September Hires and Conferencing Coordinator Lotte Coleman has chosen Lars von Trier’s superb metaphysical drama Melancholia, which follows two sisters and their strained family relationships as a rogue planet hurtles towards Earth.
Lotte says: "I first saw this in 2011 in the early years of “new” Phoenix and it has always stayed with me. Kirsten Dunst is incredible in the lead and I love films that take on huge philosophical questions but refuse to give easy answers".
Tony says: "This films sounds really interesting and thought provoking; and besides the wonderful Kirsten Dunst there are many other great actors on show in this award winning film... see below"
