Cinema - Marty Supreme
Details
I'm not normally a watcher of Table Tennis based films... but this film has received exceptional reviews for the film itself and Timothee Chalamet's performance (Oscar Noms for sure).
The film explores themes of ambition and identity with dark humour and flawed characters; but is there redemption for Marty?
Sounds like it could be a good one to watch, and discuss.

Synopsis:
In the 1950s’ golden age of ping-pong culture, a young man (Chalamet) with a dream no one respects is willing to go to hell and back in pursuit of greatness.
Loosely inspired by the story of real-life table tennis player Marty Reisman, Josh Safdie’s (Uncut Gems, Good Time) hugely enjoyable sports comedy-drama features a great supporting cast including Odessa A’zion and musician Tyler, the Creator.
