Laurens Schinkelshoek - Data Scientist at **Healthplus.ai**
With a background in physics, Laurens works on developing AI models to predict postoperative complications using real-world patient data.

Siri van der Meijden - Head of Clinical Affairs at **Healthplus.ai**
Siri holds a PhD in AI for perioperative and critical care from Leiden University Medical Center and has a background in Technical Medicine.

Together, they will share the story of PERISCOPE - from identifying a pressing clinical need to building a technical AI solution with real-world impact.

#### HealthcareNLP: where we are and what’s next?

Dr. Lifeng Han is currently a researcher at the 4D Picture Project. Prior to these, he finished his PhD thesis "An investigation into multi-word expressions in machine translation" from ADAPT centre, DCU, Ireland. His publications mainly focused on HealthcareNLP in the past three years. He has 50+ peer-reviewed publications, including journal articles and NLP conference papers.

This talk focuses on the Healthcare Domain Applications of Natural Language Processing (NLP), what we have achieved around HealthcareNLP and what are the current challenges and the next steps.
