Details
We will meet as a group at the Windham Nesmith Library. All members are welcome. We will have some snacks and a bit of general social time, with a focused activity hour: to discuss a book, work on a craft (bring your own), assemble a puzzle etc.
About the book: "The Rose Code" is a historical fiction novel by Kate Quinn set during World War II, focusing on the lives of three women codebreakers at Bletchley Park. The story explores themes of friendship, betrayal, and the hidden world of codebreaking, with a mystery involving a traitor emerging from their past.
The novel follows Osla, Mab, and Beth, who form a strong bond while working at Bletchley Park, a top-secret location where British codebreakers worked to decipher German messages. Their lives are intertwined with the war effort, and they become close friends while working to crack the Enigma code. However, a betrayal from their past threatens to tear them apart, and they must reunite to uncover a traitor among them.
