The Croydon Photography Forum with Carly Clarke
Details
We are thrilled to invite you to another exciting edition of the Croydon Photography Forum! This session is delivered in partnership with NHS RM Partners and Croydon Voluntary Action. Join us for an evening of photography, storytelling, and creative inspiration with award-winning documentary and portrait photographer Carly Clarke.
Carly’s work focuses on social issues that are often overlooked, using medium format film to tell powerful, deeply personal stories. Her acclaimed projects include Remember Me: Vancouver’s DTES, Godhūlikāla: India’s Forgotten Elders, and Jamadagni’s Temple: The Real Full Moon Festival. After being diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2012, she created **Reality Trauma, a deeply moving self-portrait series documenting her treatment and recovery. She later followed up with *In the Blood*, exploring her younger brother’s battle with the same illness. Her work has been featured on BBC News, the British Journal of Photography, Lensculture, and the National Portrait Gallery. She is the recipient of the Royal Photographic Society's Vic Odden Award and has received multiple honours from the International Photography Awards (IPA).
This is an event not to be missed! Whether you're a professional photographer passionate about visual storytelling or an inexperienced person who enjoys photography, you’ll gain valuable insights and creative inspiration.
