The Croydon Photography Forum with Nick Turpin

We are thrilled to welcome internationally renowned street photographer Nick Turpin to the Croydon Photography Forum for an inspiring evening of conversation, insight, lots of photographs and creative exploration.
Nick Turpin was the youngest ever staff photographer on a UK national newspaper when he joined The Independent at just 20 years old. Over the years, he has become one of the most influential figures in contemporary street photography, known for his ability to transform everyday moments into compelling visual narratives.

In 2000, he founded iN-PUBLiC, an international collective that played a pivotal role in the resurgence of interest in street photography worldwide. His celebrated book On The Night Bus captured poetic glimpses of city life through the windows of London’s buses, while his work has been featured in the landmark exhibition Street.Life.Photography and the definitive publication Bystander: A History of Street Photography.
Beyond his personal projects, Nick has applied his distinct photographic approach to working with clients such as Transport for London, the City of London, and various architectural and arts organisations. His ability to document urban life with depth and authenticity makes him a true master of the craft.
