The Croydon Photography Forum Andy Hall

Details
We’re absolutely buzzing to be hosting Andy Hall at the next edition of the Croydon Photography Forum, where you can join us for a relaxed and inspiring evening of photography chat, stories, and shared creativity.
Andy is a London-based photographer who’s been behind the lens for over 35 years. Starting out in the late '80s shooting for trade mags in the City, he quickly made a name for himself and went on to contribute regularly to The Observer, The Guardian, The Times, Newsweek, GQ and many more.
He’s worked across a huge range of subjects – from gritty news stories and social documentary features to commercial shoots for clients like Transport for London and Channel Four. He’s also travelled far and wide with NGOs like Oxfam and Save the Children, capturing powerful images in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
Over the years, Andy’s work has been featured in exhibitions covering topics like apartheid in South Africa, the Indian Ocean tsunami, and the arms trade. He’s also taken part in several book projects, including Eyewitness; Five Thousand Days and UK at Home.
Andy’s passion for street photography has seen him recognised by major international competitions, and just this year he picked up the Trieste Photo Days Best Author Award. He’s currently working on a long-term project exploring life in the Square Mile – the heart of the City of London.
Andy’s known not just for his amazing portfolio, but for his generosity in sharing what he knows. He regularly runs workshops, gives talks, and judges photography competitions, always keen to support others on their photographic journeys.
Join us for what promises to be a friendly, down-to-earth evening filled with inspiration and valuable tips, and become part of our welcoming and engaging community.
