Florrie Walk: Liverpool Castle & Lower Rivington Reservoir

Walk details:

We will meet at:

Lever Park Avenue, Horwich, BL6 7LQ

Parking is free along the street.

Bring a packed lunch.

Mostly country tracks and paths, muddy in areas, some steep inclines, and possibly boggy on foot.

We will Walk from the meeting point along Lever Park Avenue, down towards Dryfield Lane, towards the tracks that lead to Lower Rivington Reservoir. We will then continue on to Liverpool Castle.

Finally we will arrive at Rivington Barn and the terraced gardens. We can stop here for our packed lunch, as well as buying any food, drinks and ice cream at the Barn and cafe there.

We will then return back on a similar route.

Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.

Wear suitable footwear and clothing. Dogs welcome on the lead in areas.
