Details

Let’s go see how much water is in Carson Falls, the tallest in Marin. This 4-mile out-and-back hike has an elevation gain of 800’. Along the way we’ll see views of the surrounding hills. Though short, it’s not easy with some steep sections and a short rock scramble. I plan to use my trekking poles, especially since some sections may be muddy. If there’s interest, we can go to lunch in Fairfax afterwards.

Getting there:
· From Highway 101 in Marin County, take the Sir Francis Drake Boulevard west, drive about 5 miles to Fairfax
· Left on Pacheco, at signal, then immediate right onto Broadway, go about a block
· Left on Bolinas Road. Parking lot will be on left side in about 3.8 miles.

Planned Route: Pine Mtn FR > Oat Hill FR > Carson Falls > Return
