Our member Sue has reserved Friday and Saturday nights at a group campsite (HALF MOON Group Camp) for us with a capacity of 25 overnight campers. A water pump, pit latrines, picnic tables and a fire ring are on site.

Each member camping overnight will need to contribute the following fee to cover the site reservation fee. Pay the fee to the event leader Sue when you arrive.
$ 20 / person for Friday and Saturday camping (two nights).
If you want to come only for the day on Saturday, sign up on the other separate event listing called Baker Park DAY VISIT.

Directions to Half Moon Group Camp:
- on County Road 19 (=Baker Park Road) coming from the south, turn to the right (see below map and picture). Look for the sign “Half Moon Group Camp - Canoe Launch” on the right side of the road.
- on County Road 19 (= Baker Park Road) coming from the north, turn to the left (see below map and picture). There’s no sign on this side of the road. Turn to the left at house no. 2725.

Remember to bring long pants and/or mosquito spray to protect yourself from mosquito bites in the evening.

Food plan (bring your own camp chair, plate, cup & utensils):
Friday: bring your own food.
Saturday and Sunday: group meals will be organized for Saturday (breakfast, dinner) and Sunday (leftovers breakfast). On Saturday evening we will have a shared potluck for campers and day trippers.
A sign up list for the food items we need, will be sent out closer to the time.

Well behaved dogs on leashes are fine.
These are the park dog rules: dogs are allowed at group-camp areas; however, dogs are not permitted at the beach, play area or in buildings. Dogs are also allowed in picnic areas, turf trails and paved trails. A trail map is available at ThreeRiversParks.org. Dogs must be on a maximum 6-foot non-retractable leash and owners are required to clean up after them. They may not be tied to trees or tables.

Keep an eye on this posting as the date or time may change due to weather conditions. All our meetups have a minimum of 5 in order to run. Please change your RSVP if you are not able to make it for any reason.
