Walk around Jensen Lake

Details
"I found far more answers in the woods than I ever did in the city."
Mary Davis
Join our group for another walk around one of the gorgeous lakes south of the Twin Cities: Jensen Lake.
Jensen Lake is part of Lebanon Hills Regional Park, located southeast of downtown Mpls. It’s the largest park in the Dakota County park system. Containing almost 2,000 acres, the park offers miles of trails and many lakes.
The trail will be a 2.2 mile loop around Jensen Lake.
The route is mostly flat, and varies between dirt trail and boardwalk.
It has a little bit of hill work (total elevation gain of 108 ft) and some exposed roots and rocks (see below picture), thus you might want to bring your trekking poles.
Trail conditions depend on the weather: it could be dry or a bit muddy in spots. Make sure to wear shoes with good traction.
Mosquitoes might sign up for our summer walks. So you might want to bring some mosquito repellent.
This walk will be led by Gundula. She will be wearing a rainbow colored bandana around her neck.
Our group will meet outside the park building at Jensen Lake (see below picture). There is a large public parking lot close to the building. Parking and admission are free.
Please be on time.
For our outdoor events, no pets unless the event leader writes they are welcome in the posting.
Keep an eye on this posting as the date or time may change due to weather conditions. All our meetups have a minimum of 5 in order to run. Please change your RSVP if you are not able to make it for any reason.
