Walk around 5+ tiny lakes at Bredesen Park

"Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go." Unknown
Let’s continue our series of ‚Walks Around The Lake’.
Join our group for another walk around some of the smaller lakes in the Twin Cities: 5 tiny lakes at Bredesen Park.
This is a large 200-acre natural area with a 2.2 mile loop walking path. Nine Mile Creek flows through this park and creates a marsh area in the middle which the walking trail loops around.
This time we will walk the winding Nature Trail. The dirt trail is flat and meanders through the forest.
This walk will be led by Gundula.
She will be wearing a rainbow colored bandana around her neck.
Our group will meet in the adjacent paved area at the end of the regular parking lot (see below picture).
This park is easy to get to, just off Highway 62. Take the Gleason or Tracy Exits. From Vernon Avenue, turn south on Olinger Road and the road ends in the parking lot of Bredesen Park (see picture below). If the parking lot is full, you may park on neighborhood streets nearby.
Please be on time.
For our outdoor events, no pets unless the event leader writes they are welcome in the posting.
Keep an eye on this posting as the date or time may change due to weather conditions. All our meetups have a minimum of 5 in order to run.
