Walk around Hyland Lake

Details

„By all these lovely tokens September days are here, with summer’s best of weather and autumn’s best of cheer.” – Helen Hunt Jackson

Let’s continue our series of ‚Walks Around The Lake‘.
Join our group for another walk around one of the gorgeous lakes in the Twin Cities: Hyland Lake.

Hyland Lake Park Reserve in Bloomington has multiple trails in open prairie, through woods and around bodies of water.
We will enjoy the winding path around Hyland Lake in the shade by walking through the forest.
The trail around the lake is about 2 miles and it’s a mix of gravel and paved trail.

Access the main park entrance off Bush Lake Road (10145 Bush Lake Road). There is free parking in 2 lots in front of the Hyland Visitor Center.

This walk will be led by Gundula. She will be wearing a rainbow colored bandana around her neck.
Meet our group at the boat ramp that’s on the right side of the visitor center (see below pictures).

For members easily lost: DO NOT go to the Richardson Nature Center which is a different park building with a different entrance.

Mosquitoes might sign up for our summer walks. So, you might want to bring mosquito repellent.
