Let’s go camping! Jill and Gundula have reserved an early summer weekend at a group campsite at Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve.
Camping starts on Friday (6/19) afternoon and ends on Sunday (6/21) morning after breakfast!

Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve is a 5,500-acre park in the northeast metro. It is one of the largest parks in the metro area stretching from Lexington and Circle Pines up through Lino Lakes and down to Centerville. The reserve includes miles of biking and hiking trails as well as seven interconnected lakes, headwaters to a 22-mile canoeable waterway to the Mississippi River.

Biking, hiking, fishing, boating, golf, birding and swimming are just a few of the many activities you will find within the park. The swimming beach is within walking distance from the campsite. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent at Wargo Nature Center - one mile north of the campsite.

The group campsite can accommodate up to 60 people. There is a huge fire pit, picnic tables, water, electricity hook-ups, and a portable toilet.

We will coordinate food closer to the camping date.

Cost will be $15/person for the weekend to cover the cost of the campsite reservation. Pay the fee to the event leaders, Jill or Gundula, when you arrive.

This park is part of the Anoka County Park System, so vehicle fees apply ($ 7 per day or $ 30 per year).
If you carpool, you only need one pass on the vehicle.

Dogs on leashes are fine.
Campers will receive more information closer to the time.
