Sapphic Stacks Book Club
Details
Join us for a sapphic book club at the Pierre Bottineau Library in northeast Minneapolis.
We will discuss “Our Wives Under The Sea“ by Julia Armfield.
In Julia Armfield’s debut horror novel a marine biologist (Leah) returns from a disastrous deep-sea mission that left her stranded for six months. Her wife, Miri, must watch as Leah undergoes a terrifying, otherworldly physical and psychological transformation. The book serves as a slow-burn horror and a queer Gothic romance. It deeply explores the inevitable sorrow of loving someone who is terminally ill or fundamentally changing, as well as the haunting, unknowable mysteries of the natural world.
This event will be hosted by Lisa M.
