Let’s continue our series of ‚Walks Around The Lake‘.
Join our group for another walk around one of the gorgeous lakes in the Twin Cities: Wood Lake.
Wood Lake Nature Center is just one example of how easy it is to escape the city, while never leaving the city at all. It’s a haven for migrating birds and waterfowl: 150-acre cattail marsh, woodland and restored prairie.
We will walk and enjoy the winding paths, the creaks of the wooden boardwalk and the tranquil dirt trails through the hardwood forest.
Currently, part of the park is closed for construction. Thus, we will do 2 slightly different loops of 1.5 miles each. Most of it is gravel.
This walk will be led by Gundula. She will be wearing a rainbow colored bandana around her neck.
For now: our group will meet at the Lyndale Access Gate on Lyndale Avenue S (see picture below) across from a soccer field.
Parking: free neighborhood parking on W 70th Street or nearby streets.
Please be on time.
For our outdoor events, no pets unless the event leader writes they are welcome in the posting.
Keep an eye on this posting as the date or time may change due to weather conditions. All our meetups have a minimum of 5 in order to run.
