What we’re about

At LesBiEpic Social Club, we are a tight-knit, exclusive and inclusive LGBTQIA+ community for queer-identifying women (WLW) and non-binary folks in the DC area and beyond. We center queer joy — as a celebration of identity and peaceful resistance to oppression, and also for joy’s sake itself (infinitely valuable, IMHO)— along with respect, community, safety, adventure, exploration, and learning. We don’t suffer fools or tolerate any BS — this is a {multicultural} space for kindness, curiosity, compassion, and connection. People have met their best friends, roommates and "~roommates~", partners, crushes, and expanded their professional and social network in this group. Past events have included everything from archery to bladesmithing classes, renaissance faires, pride bar crawls, ComicCon [that included all-womxn NASA panels], ice skating and hot cocoa, creative writing meetups, women’s sporting events, queer author book tours [such as RuPaul, Elliot Page, and the Trans Handy Ma’am], regularly supporting our local lesbian/queer spaces including ALOHO and As You Are, collaborations with other Meetup groups, vision board and goal-setting events, and much more — with many more exciting things on the horizon. The best is yet to come 🌈 🐦‍🔥. This group is for adults 21 and over.
