And just like that, our little meetup group has passed the 3-year mark (hooray!).

Systems thinking traces its roots in a 1958 study published by Harvard professor Jay Forrester. The research observed that managers tended to further mess up a business system that they were trying to improve.

The problem lies in using convenient quick fixes and the misuse of "common sense" instead of creating solutions that introduce deep-impact systemic improvements.

Our 24th meetup will discuss how to use systems thinking to see more deeply and uncover the real root causes of common problems in product development and organizational dynamics.
