LessWrong Meetup - 21 Questions: How To Disagree, and Actually Understand Why

Details

Most discussions suck. If you agree, then this event might be for you.

Based on the popular "20 Questions" (German: "Wer bin ich?") we will experiment with a new game called "21 Questions".

A game that forces you to discuss more constructively: You are allowed only ask and answer questions. This will likely make you better understand what others believe, find the cruxes of your disagreement, inconsistencies in their reasoning – and maybe also in yours, so that your long-hold beliefs might fall into pieces. Great, isn't it?

Played in small groups with enough mingling time in between an after, we invite you to a meetup in Kreuzberg's co.up coworking space, to meet other rationalists, aspiring rationalists or people who simply want to know what "LessWrong" is.

Tentative schedule:

13:00-13:30 Arriving at the venue and mingling
13:30-14:30 Workshop Block #1
14:30-15:00 Break
15:00-16:00 Workshop Block #2
16:00-18:00 Mingling / Whatever you like

Our plan is to hold our LessWrong meetup regularly at the 3rd Sunday of the month.
