Let’s Talk About It: When Holidays Are Hard

Details
For many of us, the holidays are not always merry and bright. We may be feeling sad, angry, isolated, stressed, misunderstood, or alone. We may be missing a person who is no longer here with us, or we may be trying to navigate complicated relationships with those we’ll be spending the holidays with.
This event is for you if:
-You are experiencing grief that is amplified over the holiday season.
-Spending time with family or friends over the holidays is bringing emotions like anxiety, dread, anger, or sadness.
-You are missing someone this holiday season.
-You feel isolated from those you will be/would be spending the holidays with.
-You want to connect with others who are experiencing similar feelings related to grief during this season.
Please come join us for a different type of holiday spirit — one of compassion, communication, and community.
*This cafe is a non-profit organization that donates all proceeds to support mental health education and suicide prevention. The cafe closes at 1pm, so if we want to continue the conversation, we may go for a walk on a trail or in a nearby park afterwards.
Please reach out with any questions. We hope to see you there!
