Details

A very unique shift from film to the theater: London's National Theater Live will be broadcasting a world premiere performance of the iconic 1964 Stanley Kubrick film Dr. Strangelove (Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb) for an audience at Fort Worth's Modern Museum.
As noted on the local Amphibian Stage website, Dr. Strangelove has been praised as a "comedy masterpiece" and "explosively funny satire about a rogue U.S. general who triggers a nuclear attack."
We will be meeting at 1:30 for a 2:00 showtime on Wednesday, May 21.
Perhaps we'll eat at the Museum cafe afterwards.
One-upping Peter Sellers' phenomenal work in 3 roles from the movie, renowned actor Steve Coogan will take on 4 characters in the story.
Additionally, a bit of trivia: when Reagan became President, he asked where the "War Room" was - presumably in the Pentagon. He had to be informed it was nothing more than a set from the film.
