Local Walk - Yelden & Melchbourne Loop, 10.5 miles, walk leader Ray

Details
Please park considerately around Yelden village and meet outside St Mary’s Church, ready to start walking promptly at 10.30am. In the morning we will head towards Newton Bromswold before looping around to reach Melchbourne village in time for lunch. We will have our lunch around Melchbourne (which is roughly the halfway point), before heading to the St Johns Arms just outside the village for a quick drink at the pub. There probably won’t be time to buy food from the pub, so please bring a packed lunch with you.
In the afternoon we will start out from the pub and head to Upper Dean and then the hamlet of Shelton, before heading back to Yelden.
The walk is around 10.5 miles long, fairly evenly split between morning and afternoon.
