Local walk - Heart of the Shires, Northants, 8 miles, walk leader Peter

Details
The walk will begin at the Heart of The Shires shopping centre, meet at the rear of the car park (furthest point from the shops) ready to start walking at 10.30am, this walk is a mixture of roads, fields and canal, approximately 8 miles in length, heading out along the road through Norton, we cut across the fields to Welton, where we will stop for lunch and if not too early we can nip into The White Horse for a drink, please note there will not be time to order food at the pub, so please ensure you bring something with you. Upon leaving Welton we will head towards Long Buckby Wharf, and head down the canal back to the Heart of The Shires. Please note that there are about 4 styles on this walk, 2 of which are very tall, so dog owners will need to be able to lift dogs over. The 1867 coffee shop is highly recommended for a drink and cake afterwards if they have tables available.
