Please note that this walk is likely to be wet & muddy due to the recent weather so make sure that you are wearing appropriate footwear.
This is a figure of 8 walk, meaning you can walk the morning loop, afternoon loop, or both, as we will return to the start point for lunch. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re an established member of the group or haven’t walked with us before.
For the morning walk we will meet in the very large layby on the A428 before you get into Turvey from Northampton. Its on Bedford Road, Turvey, Bedford MK43 8ER (Please Follow directions and not just use postcode, the google pin will take you to the exact spot).
There is room for 20 cars in the layby if it does fill up there is room for parking back in the village but it is a 5 minute walk so please arrive early.

Morning Walk, 4 miles: Starting at 10.30am from the layby on the western end of the Great Ouse river bridge walking through the village of Turvey and past the Abbey and through the old grounds of the Abbey out into the surrounding fields and back via a different route into Turvey where we will stop for lunch on the village green and have a drink in The Three Cranes pub.
The afternoon walk, 4 miles: Meet at the Three Cranes Pub at 1pm we will head north out of the village walking across the field on good grass paths out towards Gt Oaks wood and back past Gt Oaks Farm and back into Turvey.
